Bottom rear

This pic is a view of the bottom rear of Archimedes.
The spiral of the screw itself is constructed of 11h narrow strips which are curved with the aid of a strip bender and spaced from the cylinder by means of 3/4" bolts. The construction of the Guard Rail is obvious from the picture.
