Triumph Herald Chassis-- Built by Roland Jaggard

Front Suspension

But, for my Herald model I will be sticking with the simple contrate and pinion drive although I'm not happy with the 1:1 ratio. Dave Denner suggested Paul Dale's all pinion diff using the French tri-flat shafts and small plastic gears. I didn't have the parts required for that. Also, although there is no "Meccano" reason not to use them, in truth, my style of model building tends to be centred around 1950's to late 70's parts and I prefer not to use the more modern parts if older one will do the job. That said, a lot of small very useful later parts were used on the model.
